You may have found your way here through my short experimental dance film, Land of Denied Rituals — a tribute art film to the disappearing death rituals once carried out by Palestinian women. Through movement, song, and embodiment, I reinterpreted these ancestral gestures with my own body, reimagining them in front of the camera.

Created with limited resources and the generous initial support of Stereo48 and the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture, Land of Denied Rituals was born from passion, urgency, and artistic defiance.

Now, I’m standing at a turning point.

Your support will help me continue walking the path of filmmaking — a path I’ve carved over the past four years through my next major work:
Condemned to Dream, a 90-minute feature documentary exploring the revolutionary role of resistance theatre in Palestine and its power to imagine and shape a free society.

At its heart is Ashtar Theatre in Ramallah — a groundbreaking cultural space founded by my parents, Iman Aoun and Edward Muallem — where art has long been a form of defiance, healing, and radical dreaming.

This isn't just about funding a film — it’s about amplifying voices, honoring heritage, and bringing untold Palestinian narratives to screens around the world.

Chers cinéphiles, amateurs d'art et adeptes des récits audacieux,

Vous avez peut-être trouvé votre chemin jusqu'ici grâce à mon court métrage de danse expérimentale, Land of Denied Rituals, un hommage aux rituels funéraires autrefois pratiqués par les femmes palestiniennes. Par le mouvement, le chant et l'incarnation, j'ai réinterprété ces gestes ancestraux avec mon propre corps, les réimaginant devant la caméra.

Créé avec des ressources limitées et le généreux soutien initial de Stereo48 et du Fonds arabe pour les arts et la culture, Land of Denied Rituals est né de la passion, de l'urgence et d'une résistance artistique.

Au cœur de ce projet se trouve le Théâtre Ashtar de Ramallah, un espace culturel novateur fondé par mes parents, Iman Aoun et Edward Muallem, où l'art a longtemps été une forme de défiance, de guérison et de rêve radical.

Il ne s'agit pas seulement de financer un film : il s'agit d'amplifier les voix, de rendre hommage au patrimoine et de porter des récits palestiniens inédits sur les écrans du monde entier.
