Emergency Relief for Mahmoud & His Family in Gaza

I am Mahmoud, a 29-year-old man from the Gaza Strip. I got married just one month before the war began, and I haven't been able to live my married life as I dreamed.

I suffer from vitiligo, and I was barely managing to cope with it patiently, but then the war came and destroyed everything!

I live in the Kuwait Roundabout area, north of Gaza.

In the early days of the aggression, our house was completely bombed, and my grandfather and cousin were killed instantly. We emerged from under the rubble, taking nothing with us but the clothes on our backs. Our neighbors—may God reward them—provided us with food and drink in the immediate aftermath.

On the tenth day of the war, my family of eight and I were displaced to the Al-Mawasi area near the sea.

All along the way, we saw unforgettable sights… martyrs, wounded, body parts scattered on the roads… scenes that will never be erased from memory.

 So far, we have been displaced more than 15 times, fleeing death from places they claim are safe, and we don't know what's next.

With the help of charitable people, we managed to build a simple tent of wood and nylon, which offers no protection from the scorching sun or the cold nights. We now live on only one meal a day, mostly unhealthy canned food. Because of this, my brother has developed stomach problems.

We receive:

One piece of food per person.

Only 300 ml of water per day.

We used to live in comfort and abundance, but now we struggle to survive. Praise be to God in all circumstances; we do not question His will.

My father suffers from:

Vitiligo.

Problems with his spinal cartilage.

Bronchiolitis (bronchial asthma).

My mother has special needs:

She suffers from severe digestive and stomach problems.

She has almost complete hearing loss.

My younger siblings:

They have visual impairments. 

I implore you from the bottom of my heart to extend a helping hand. The situation is unimaginably dire. We need nothing more than sustenance to stave off hunger, medicine, and relief from our families' suffering.

I swear to God that I desperately need any support, no matter how small, to change our reality and give us a chance to survive.

I know there is goodness in you, and I pray that I have reached the right person who can help me.

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته 🇵🇸🥺

أنا محمود، شاب من قطاع غزة – عمري 29 سنة – تزوجت قبل بداية الحرب بشهر واحد فقط، ولم أتمكن من عيش حياتي الزوجية كما كنت أحلم.

أعاني من مرض البهاق، وبالكاد كنت أواجهه بصبر، لكن الحرب جاءت ودمّرت كل شيء!

أنا من سكان منطقة دوّار الكويت – شمال غزة.

في الأيام الأولى من العدوان، تم قصف منزلنا بالكامل، واستشهد جدي وابن عمي في نفس اللحظة. خرجنا من تحت الركام، ولم نأخذ معنا شيئًا سوى الملابس التي علينا. الجيران – جزاهم الله خير – قدموا لنا الطعام والشراب في أولى اللحظات.

في اليوم العاشر من الحرب، نزحتُ أنا وعائلتي المكونة من 8 أشخاص إلى منطقة المواصي قرب البحر.

طوال الطريق، رأينا مناظر لا يمكن نسيانها… شهداء، جرحى، أشلاء على الطرقات… مشاهد لا تُمحى من الذاكرة.

حتى الآن نزحنا هربا من الموت أكثر من 15 مرة من الأماكن التي يقولون عنها آمنة ولا ندري ما القادم 

بمساعدة فاعلي خير، تمكّنا من بناء خيمة بسيطة من الخشب والنايلون، لا تقي من حرّ الشمس ولا من برد الليل. نعيش اليوم على وجبة طعام واحدة فقط يومياً، معظمها معلبات غير صحية. بسبب ذلك، أصيب أخي بأمراض في المعدة.

نحن نحصل على:

قطعة طعام واحدة لكل شخص.

300 ملم من الماء فقط في اليوم.

كنّا نعيش في عز وخير، لكن اليوم صرنا نكافح من أجل البقاء، والحمد لله على كل حال، لا نعترض على قضاء الله.

أبي يعاني من:

مرض البهاق.

مشاكل في غضاريف العمود الفقري.

التهاب في الشعب الهوائية (ربو شعبي).

أمي من ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة:

تعاني من مشاكل حادة في الجهاز الهضمي والمعدة.

تعاني من فقدان السمع بشكل شبه كامل.

إخوتي الصغار:

يُعانون من إعاقات بصرية.

أناشدكم من قلبي أن تمدّوا لي يد العون، فالوضع صعب فوق التخيل. لا نريد إلا ما يسدّ رمق الجوع ويوفر الدواء ويخفف من آلام الأهل.

أقسم بالله أنني في أمسّ الحاجة لأي دعم، مهما كان بسيطًا، ليغيّر واقعنا ويمنحنا فرصة للبقاء.
