Je suis Yannick, le frère de Christian. Je lance cette cagnotte pour sa famille, et je préfère laisser Christian vous raconter leur histoire lui-même. Voici ses mots :

« Je vivais deux vies. Dieu nous a rencontrés dans notre brisure — et il nous a sauvés. »

Avant 2023, j'avais l'air d'un homme qui maîtrisait sa vie : une famille, un travail, une place respectée à l'église le dimanche. Mais loin de l'église, il y avait l'alcool, les fêtes, l'infidélité, et un mariage qui s'effondrait. Ma femme Bijoux et moi ne construisions plus rien — nous survivions.

En 2023, alors que tout s'écroulait, mes parents — devenus disciples après avoir étudié la Bible à Paris — ne sont pas revenus nous juger. Ils sont revenus nous secourir. Nous avons commencé à étudier la Bible, puis nous avons tout quitté pour Nairobi. Là, Dieu a démantelé la vie que je croyais vouloir. J'ai été baptisé le 27 août 2023 ; Bijoux, après un chemin plus difficile encore, l'a été le 5 novembre 2023. Le plus grand miracle n'a pas été que nos circonstances changent — c'est que Dieu nous change. Il a sauvé notre mariage en transformant nos cœurs.

Aujourd'hui, Dieu nous appelle à un nouveau pas, aussi grand que le premier. Nous repartons à Nairobi — cette fois avec nos trois enfants, dont notre bébé de 6 mois — pour être formés et équipés comme missionnaires, et revenir un jour au Rwanda conduire une mission qui touchera notre nation.

C'est une foi qui a un coût, et nous sommes prêts à le payer. Je suis aujourd'hui le seul revenu de notre famille. Entre le déménagement, l'installation de nos trois enfants dans un nouveau pays et le premier mois sur place, nous avons besoin d'un soutien pour vivre cette transition en sécurité — surtout pour Bijoux et le bébé.

Nous réunissons 3 000 € pour couvrir nos frais de déménagement et stabiliser notre premier mois au Kenya.

I'm Yannick, Christian's brother. I'm running this fundraiser for his family and I'll let Christian tell their story in his own words:

"I was living two lives. God met us in our brokenness  and He rescued us."

Before 2023, I looked like a man who had it all together: a family, a job, a respected place at church on Sundays. But away from church there was alcohol, parties, unfaithfulness, and a marriage falling apart. My wife Bijoux and I weren't building anything anymore we were just surviving.

In 2023, as everything was collapsing, my parents who had become disciples after studying the Bible in Paris didn't come back to judge us. They came back to rescue us. We began studying the Bible, then left everything for Nairobi. There, God dismantled the life I thought I wanted. I was baptized on 27 August 2023; Bijoux, after an even harder road, on 5 November 2023. The greatest miracle wasn't that our circumstances changed  it was that God changed us. He saved our marriage by transforming our hearts.

Today, God is calling us to a new step, as big as the first. We are returning to Nairobi  this time with our three children, including our 6-month-old baby to be trained and equipped as missionaries, and one day to return to Rwanda and lead a mission that will touch our nation.

This is a faith that costs something, and we are ready to pay it. I am currently the only income for our family. Between the move, settling three children into a new country, and that first month on the ground, we need support to make this transition safely especially for Bijoux and the baby.

We're raising 3,000 to cover our moving costs and stabilize our first month in Kenya.
