Préparer mon avenir à travers le monde - Learning through the world

Ma grande année - entre océans, fjords et forêts (Version Française-French) En juin 2027, j'aurai enfin mon diplôme d'IB (et probablement les cernes qui vont avec). Plutôt que de rejoindre directement l'université, j'ai décidé d'apprendre autrement pendant un peu plus d'un an (Les universités australiennes commençant leur semestre un peu plus tard, ce calendrier tombe parfaitement), pas seulement en voyageant, mais en participant activement sur le terrain. Chaque étape a été choisie pour une raison : je ne pars pas seulement pour voir le monde, mais aussi pour me préparer à travailler dedans et me créer un réseau en participant à des actions concrètes pour préserver nos océans. Le plan reste flexible et l'organisation toujours en cours, mais voilà les grandes lignes !

🇧🇻Norvège - 5 mois Je rejoindrai le programme Folkehøgskule, une école norvégienne unique où l'on apprend en communauté au cœur de la nature : ski, randonnée, camping, survie en plein air… et sûrement quelques notions de norvégien apprises autour d'un feu. Une façon de souffler après l'IB tout en développant des compétences concrètes.

🇦🇺Australie - 4 mois Direction l'Australie pour travailler, financer la suite du voyage et découvrir ce magnifique continent que je vais probablement appeler "chez moi" pendant mes études de bachelor en biologie marine. L'occasion aussi d'explorer les associations actives sur les côtes travaillant pour la conservation animale et marine, et de me préparer concrètement à ce qui m'attend.

🇹🇭Thaïlande - 3 à 4 mois Je rejoindrai des organisations de volontariat dans le sud de la Thaïlande pour la conservation marine : observation des espèces, collecte de données, protection des récifs coralliens. C'est ici que ma future carrière commence vraiment à prendre forme, je pourrai être sur le terrain, appliquer et développer mes compétences !

🇲🇬Madagascar - 1 à 2 mois Enfin, je terminerai par Madagascar, mon pays, qui possède une biodiversité unique. Je passerai d'abord retrouver ma famille à Antananarivo, puis je partirai sur la côte travailler en volontariat avec une organisation de conservation marine. Ça va pouvoir me permettre de me reconnecter plus à ma culture et d’avoir un engagement concret en même temps. 

Pourquoi cette cagnotte ? Ce projet couvre des vols longue distance, des frais de volontariat, de l'équipement et les inévitables imprévus. En échange, je m'engage à documenter chaque étape, pas que pour l'esthétique, mais pour vous montrer concrètement mon engagement pour cette année et préserver nos océans. Chaque contribution compte, qu'elle soit grande ou symbolique. Et promis, si je croise un requin baleine après tout ça, vous serez les premiers informés ! 🩷

My Year - Between Oceans, Fjords and Forests (English version) In June 2027, I'll finally have my IB diploma (and probably the dark circles to match). Rather than heading straight to university, I've decided to spend a little over a year (Since Australian universities start their semester a bit later, the timing works out perfectly)learning differently, not just by travelling, but by actively getting involved. Every stop has been chosen for a reason: I'm not leaving just to see the world, but also to prepare myself to work in it, and to build a network by taking part in concrete actions to protect our oceans. The plan is still flexible and the organisation still ongoing, but here are the big lines!

🇧🇻 Norway - 5 months I'll be joining the Folkehøgskule program, a unique Norwegian school where you learn as a community in nature: skiing, hiking, camping, outdoor survival…and probably a few words of Norwegian picked up around a campfire. A way to decompress after the IB while building real skills.

🇦🇺 Australia - 4 months Off to Australia to work, fund the rest of the trip, and discover this beautiful continent that I'll probably be calling "home" during my bachelor's in marine biology. It is a chance to explore organisations along the coasts working on animal and marine conservation.

🇹🇭 Thailand - 3 to 4 months I'll be joining volunteer organisations in southern Thailand focused on marine conservation: species observation, data collection, coral reef protection. This is where my future career really starts to take shape, I'll be in the field, applying and developing my skills.

🇲🇬 Madagascar - 1 to 2 months Finally, I'll end with Madagascar, my country, which has a truly unique biodiversity. I'll first stop in Antananarivo to see my family, then head to the coast to volunteer with a marine conservation organisation. It'll be a chance to reconnect more deeply with my culture while also making a concrete contribution.

Why this fundraiser?  This project covers long-haul flights, volunteer programme fees, equipment and the inevitable unexpected costs. In return, I commit to documenting every step of the way, not just for the aesthetics, but to show you concretely what this year means to me and why protecting our oceans matters. Every contribution counts, whether big or symbolic. And I promise: if I come across a whale shark after all of this, you'll be the first to know! 🩷
