Retour au Sanctuaire des Elephants de l'Association Moey au Nepal 🐘

Mes amis me surnomment Yellow au Népal. Lorsque Lena, la fondatrice du sanctuaire, m'a repérée en Thaïlande, j'ai rejoint mon rêve : la région du Teraï, jungle du sud du Népal à la frontière avec l'Inde.

Aujourd'hui, on m'attend dès que possible pour développer, avec Lena, un catalogue de programmes éthiques sur mesure et un musée éducationnel sur les conditions de vie des éléphants qui travaillent dans le village voisin et sur les deux éléphants du sanctuaire.

Nous portons ce projet avec la conviction que l'éducation — sur leur histoire et leur quotidien — est la clé pour changer durablement la condition des éléphants du Nepal. 
Le sanctuaire a beaucoup avancé ces derniers mois et j’ai continué à le soutenir à distance mais c'est ce lien entre visibilité locale, digitale et pédagogie que nous voulons construire ensemble.

C'est aussi parce que les fonds de l'Association Moey aident les éléphants du village, les chiens de la communauté et d'autres animaux dans le besoin, que soutenir cette association me tient à cœur ♡

Logée et nourrie sur place par l'association, j'ai seulement besoin de financer mon vol pour cette mission. Chaque contribution nous aide à rendre ce projet possible.

My friends call me Yellow in Nepal. When Lena, the sanctuary’s founder, spotted me in Thailand, I joined my dream: the Terai region, a jungle in southern Nepal on the border with India.

Today, I’m expected back as soon as possible to develop, together with Lena, a catalog of tailored ethical programs and an educational museum on the living conditions of the elephants working in the neighboring village, as well as the two elephants at the sanctuary.  

We carry this project forward with the conviction that education — about their history and daily lives — is key to lastingly changing the condition of Nepal’s elephants. The sanctuary has made great progress in recent months, and I’ve continued to support it remotely — but it’s this link between local visibility, digital presence, and education that we want to build together.

It’s also because the funds raised by Association Moey help the village’s working elephants, the community’s dogs, and other animals in need, that supporting this association is close to my heart ♡

Housed and fed on site by the association, I only need to fund my flight for this mission. Every contribution helps us make this project possible.
