Hello everyone,

My name is André, and I am from Belgium.

I am creating this small fundraiser for a family of close friends living in the Philippines. I have come to know them personally, and although I cannot change their entire situation, I would like to help them with something very simple and essential: two mattresses so they can sleep in better and more dignified conditions.

Their financial situation is very difficult. They have very limited resources and struggle to afford some of the basic necessities that many of us may take for granted.

I am not a charity or an organization. I am simply a person who has decided to help people I care about.

I have already tried to help them personally, but I cannot cover everything on my own. That is why I am asking for a little help from anyone who would like to participate.

The immediate goal of this fundraiser is to collect enough money to purchase two mattresses for the family.

Every contribution, even a very small one, can help.

€1, €2, €5 or €10 — every amount matters.

If many people contribute a small amount, together we can reach the goal.

I know that poverty does not define a person's value.

These are good people who deserve the opportunity to live with a little more comfort and dignity. I cannot solve all of their problems, but I believe that helping with one basic need is better than doing nothing.

For me, this is not about making money or gaining anything in return.

It is simply about helping someone who needs a hand.

I want this fundraiser to be completely transparent.

The money raised will be used for the purchase of the two mattresses and, if necessary, the associated delivery costs.

I will personally make sure that the money reaches the family.

With their permission, I can also provide photographs, videos and proof of purchase to people who would like to see how the donations were used.

I will provide an update once the mattresses have been purchased and delivered.

That is completely okay.
